Drug Addiction in the city of Delhi

Drug addiction is a significant concern in today’s day and age and its effects can be seen largely in metropolitan areas like Delhi.

More than 90 percent of children on the streets in Delhi are drug addicts. The numbers keep rising exponentially with alcohol consumption leading the charts, used by more than 15,01,16,000 people according to a study from 2018, out of which 30,00,000 are under 18. It does not stop there, the use of drugs such as marijuana, prescription drugs, and inhaled solvents like glue is on the rise, particularly among young people has also been on the rise and is having a devastating impact on individuals, families, and communities.

To solve this problem, like any other problem, we must find out the underlying causes of the problem. The root causes of drug addiction are various in nature and quite complex. Poverty, unemployment, lack of education and awareness, peer pressure, and easy availability of drugs are some of the most commonly cited factors that contribute to substance abuse. For many individuals, drug addiction starts as a way to escape from the challenges of daily life, but it quickly becomes a destructive force that takes control of their lives.

At Veda Wellness, Luxury Retreat & Rehab centres, we believe that a successful recovery requires a holistic and compassionate approach that addresses both the individual and environmental factors that contribute to drug addiction. Our team of trained professionals works one-to-one with clients to help them overcome their addiction, build the skills and resilience needed for a successful recovery, and regain control of their lives. That is also why we have put an upper limit of 5 clients at a time, so as to further focus and personalize treatments for each client. Ever since the inauguration of the Delhi centre in 2022, we have had nothing but chances to serve and help others in the best possible ways. We have therefore been referred by many clients as the “Best Rehab Centre in Delhi”.

The first step in our approach to treatment is a comprehensive assessment, which helps us to understand the individual’s unique challenges and develop a tailored treatment plan. Our program includes a range of evidence-based therapies, including counselling, behavioural therapy, and holistic approaches like meditation and yoga. We also offer aftercare services to help our clients maintain their recovery and continue to grow and thrive in their lives.

In addition to providing individual treatment, we also believe it is important to address the environmental factors that contribute to drug addiction. To that end, we work closely with natural landscapes, following a natural rhythm and cycle of recovery. All of our centres are placed in the midsts of beautiful and deep natural spots, enough to calm the mind and stir the soul.

Despite the tremendous challenges, we have seen the positive impact that our program has had on the lives of those who have come through our doors. We have seen individuals overcome their addictions, rebuild their lives, and go on to make a positive impact in their communities. We know that the road to recovery is not always easy, but we also know that it is possible. Because of the intensive care we provide for the clients, we have had a success rate of above 93%. Many clients still visit the centre, not as clients but as friends, to catch up and tell us all about what they are up to.

In conclusion, drug addiction is a complex and devastating problem that requires a sustained and comprehensive approach. At our rehabilitation centre, we are committed to helping individuals and families affected by addiction overcome their challenges, build a foundation for a successful recovery, and reclaim their lives. If you or someone you know is struggling with drug addiction, we encourage you to reach out for help. We are here to support you every step of the way.
