The drive from Bagdogra Airport to Gangtok is approximately 125 km and takes around 3.5–4.5 hours. Veda arranges private airport transfers for every admitted client, ensuring a seamless journey from arrival to admission.
Weather permitting, helicopter shuttle services operate between Bagdogra and Gangtok, reducing travel time to approximately 30–40 minutes. Our admissions team can assist with booking and coordination.

Sikkim is a protected area under Indian law. Foreign nationals — including Overseas Citizens of India (OCI card holders) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) — require a Protected Area Permit (PAP) to enter Sikkim.
What you need to know:
Indian nationals (resident Indians with an Indian passport) do not require any permit to visit Sikkim and may travel freely.
